Worldwide Birder

My Story

About Connor

I’m the type of guy who wears hiking boots to the beach – a person who you might see stumbling through the forest understory with binoculars and a camera around my neck. What’s driven me to such insanity, you may ask? Well, you can blame birds for my odd quirks.

Birding is a powerful vice – I’ve been hooked ever since I was 13 and my admiration for all things feathered has only intensified since that point.

I’ve worked as a seasonal technician conducting bird research for numerous organizations – both public and private. I’ve also spent time as a biologist who has worked with state and federal government to create habitat for birds.

From chasing prairie chickens in helicopters to climbing mountains for woodpeckers, my adventures have led me to observe more than 520 bird species to date, and I am always seeking opportunities to add a new bird to my life list.

I decided to create this website in 2022 despite the fact that I knew absolutely nothing about website development at the time. So, why create a website if I admittedly didn’t know the first thing about establishing a successful online presence? Well, the answer is simple: I love birds, and I saw tremendous potential for me to create a website that educates people on a wide array of bird-related subjects.

My website has gone through several different iterations, but after countless hours of work, I am very proud of this current version of worldwidebirder.com. Everything you see and read from my website was created by me; I’ve not used AI, copywriters, or any outside help in the creation of the Worldwide Birder brand.

As of September 2024, I also have a YouTube channel with the same name! So, be sure to check out the Worldwide Birder YouTube channel for exciting video content about your favorite feathered creatures.

I strive to provide a personal experience for my readers. There’s no ambiguity when someone reaches out – readers know exactly who they are talking to.

I’ve enjoyed connecting with readers who join The Flock – a community of worldwide birders. As The Flock continues to steadily grow, I will be thrilled to introduce new and exciting additions to Worldwide Birder.

Thank you for stopping by my website, and welcome to worldwidebirder.com!
